So, this is my reply to the ages: "I love you."

So, while the night is brief and the lamp burns low, I give you what my young hands hold—my heart, its secret, and the name of my loving.

So, if the world should gather to undo me, if the winds conspire and the years contrive, I keep this utterance as my shield and my solace.
