2It was (my Lord) who lin'd himself with hope,
3Eating the ayre, on promise of Supply,
4Flatt'ring himselfe with Proiect of a power,
5Much smaller, then the smallest of his Thoughts,
6And so with great imagination
7(Proper to mad men) led his Powers to death,
8And (winking) leap'd into destruction.
