2Vpon a lye, seuen times remoued: (beare your
3bodie more seeming Audry) as thus sir: I did dislike the
4cut of a certaine Courtiers beard: he sent me word, if I
5said his beard was not cut well, hee was in the minde it
6was: this is call'd the retort courteous. If I sent him
7word againe, it was not well cut, he wold send me word
8he cut it‑to please himselfe: this is call'd the quip modest.
