Ma poco ci giovò: che 'l nimico empio
de l'umana natura, il qual del telo
fu l'inventor, ch'ebbe da quel l'esempio,
ch'apre le nubi e in terra vien dal cielo;
con quasi non minor di quello scempio
che ci diè quando Eva ingannò col melo,
