Grande ombra d'ogn'intorno il cielo involve,

nata dal saettar de li duo campi;

l'alito, il fumo del sudor, la polve

par che ne l'aria oscura nebbia stampi.

Or qua l'un campo, or l'altro là si volve:

vedresti or come un segua, or come scampi;
